DRONE THERMOGRAPHY

Drone thermography uses infrared cameras on unmanned aerial vehicles to detect heat signatures, enabling a wide range of applications including search and rescue, firefighting, infrastructure inspection, building surveys , and agriculture. This technology offers a safe, non-destructive, non-invasive, and efficient way to gather thermal data over large areas to identify potential problems and make informed decisions.

Key Applications

  • Search and Rescue: Drones can locate missing persons, or animals, even in the modest extreme environments and at night.
  • Firefighting: Using thermal cameras on drones to to detect fire and monitor hotspots, assess the extent of damage, and identify dangerous situations.
  • Building Inspections: Drones can pinpoint heat loss, air leaks, moisture, and insulation defects in buildings, helping to improve energy efficiency and identify structural weaknesses.
  • Infrastructure Inspection: They are used to inspect critical assets like solar panels, power lines, and pipelines for overheating, electrical faults, or leaks that could lead to failure.
  • Agriculture: Thermal imaging helps farmers monitor crop health, detect disease or water stress, and track wildlife in their fields.
  • Environmental Monitoring: Thermal drones can be used for wildlife research, tracking animal populations, and monitoring ecosystems without disturbing them.
  • Industrial Maintenance: Overheating machinery or electrical components can be detected, preventing accidents and improving safety

NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING

Drone thermography uses UAVs equipped with the latest in thermal technology to capture infrared data and create visual representations of temperature variations on building surfaces, identifying issues like insulation deficiencies, air leaks, moisture, and heat loss.

This non-invasive method is a cost-effective and efficient way to inspect hard-to-reach areas, assess energy efficiency, and monitor the structural health of buildings without disrupting operation.

We are members of BINDT (British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing), and trained in the use of thermographic equipment, allowing us to survey your building and identify accurately any thermal anomalies for further inspection.

SEARCH & RESCUE

Thermal imaging is a game-changer for search and rescue (SAR), significantly reducing response times and increasing the chances of locating warm-blooded individuals and animals, even through dense foliage
